LANCASTER, PA, August, 1996. Datcon Instrument Company, a subsidiary of High Voltage Engineering Corporation (Wakefield, MA), has been registered to the ISO 9001 quality standard by Bureau Veritas Quality International (BVQI). Registrations have been obtained with the RAB (U.S.), NACB (U.K.) and DAR (Germany) accreditation bodies.

During a company celebration, Oddie V. Leopando, President recognized the Datcon team, saying that, "Our associates really made the ISO 9001 registration possible with a great deal of hard work and commitment. In the last six months, our company really came on strong and we are all very proud."

The ISO 9001 registration marks a new beginning at Datcon. It represents the culmination of a business redesign which included the assembly of a new Core Business Team, with Leopando (formerly president of a division of MascoTech, Inc.) at the helm; the conversion of all hourly associates to salary status; and the full integration of our Barcelona, Spain-based Industrias Jorda, SL division.
